Core Values

Innovation & Entrepreneurship
Taxes, bookkeeping, and payroll may not initially appear as a field plentiful with innovation, but Cornbelt Financial disproves that assumption. Cornbelt Financial seeks to improve the tax experience through identifying and implementing processes that improve both efficiency and effectiveness therefore resulting in a better experience for our clients.

Passion & Commitment
Tis the season, tax season that is… Cornbelt Financial possesses a staff that is passionate and committed to the tax profession. All of the Cornbelt Financial staff possesses certifications or designations within their field of practice to ensure that they are not only an expert in their field but also up-to-date with the constant evolving fields that we operate within. With a passionate and committed staff you can ensure that they are happy with their career, and a happy staff creates happy clients.

Community Involvement
Cornbelt Financial may be extremely busy throughout the year, but anytime that we are not busy we look to stay busy. Cornbelt Financial seeks numerous opportunities to better the communities we operate within through multiple avenues including volunteerism, donations, or discounts for the services that we provide. Clients and future clients can see our contributions within the communities we serve through our social medial websites and our blog.

Culture & Diversity
Cornbelt Financial not only appreciates a cultural diverse staff but also enjoys working with a cultural diverse clientele. Through diversity Cornbelt Financial possesses an expanded perspective and acceptance of different beliefs, views, and experiences that ultimately enables us to celebrate our uniqueness and individuality.

Communication & Transparency
The key to any successful relationship is effective communication. Cornbelt Financial looks at the relationships with our clients no different than any other relationship, hence why we are taking the time to share our core values with you. Therefore, Cornbelt Financial will ensure that you understand all aspects of the services that we provide and that you understand the “why” rather than only the “what.”

Industry Leader
Cornbelt Financial doesn’t necessarily do anything new, but we instead do everything better than the rest. We employ a staff that are leaders both inside and outside the office, are intelligent as displayed through their certifications and designations they have earned, and possess the desire to grow and improve with each passing day.

Connected & Networked
While we do spend a lot of time on what we know, we also spend just as much time on who we know. Cornbelt Financial takes the time to learn about our clients thoroughly on a professional level as well as developing lasting personal relationships. Therefore it is common to see our staff involved within the communities we serve whether volunteering, passing out coffee during the morning commute, calling you during the year, or simply having a brief conversation with you at the grocery store.

Disciplined & Ethical
While Cornbelt Financial conducts business following a variety of important core values, there is not a core value as important as conducting business in both a disciplined and ethical manner. Without discipline and ethics the rest of the core values that Cornbelt Financial operates within won’t contain any relevance.

Accepting of Change
When dealing with the federal tax code on a daily basis, Cornbelt Financial must be accepting of change. However, the always evolving tax code is not the only reason we believe it is important to be accepting of change. The world we live in is always changing and evolving, therefore Cornbelt Financial follows the “Handwriting on the Wall” identified by Spencer Johnson during his book, Who Moved my Cheese. The “Handwriting on the Wall,” includes 1) Change Happens, 2) Anticipate Change, 3) Monitor Change, 4) Adapt to Change Quickly, 5) Change, and 6) Enjoy Change!

Evidence-Based Management
Evidence-based management, defined by Jeffrey Pfeffer and Robert I. Sutton, “originates from the premise that using better, deeper logic and employing facts to the extent possible permits leaders to do their jobs better. Evidence-based management is based on the belief that facing the hard facts about what works and what doesn’t, understanding the dangerous half-truths that constitute so much conventional wisdom about management, and rejecting the total non-sense that too often passes for sound advice will help organizations perform better.” Cornbelt Financial implementation of this philosophy is exactly why Cornbelt Financial is different from so many businesses you have worked with in the past.
